Myna Mukherjee (curator)

Myna Mukherjee is a cultural producer, curator, and the founder/director of Engendered, a New York/New Delhi-based transnational arts and human rights organization. She was the founder & artistic Director of Nayikas, NY’s first South Asian classical & feminist dance theater company. She has curated internationally at the Lincoln Center, Asia Society, Tribeca Film Center, and Queens Museum, among others, and brought to India in 2016, North America’s largest South Asian Human Rights film festival, ‘I View World’. In 2019, LifeStyle Asia magazine listed her as one of the top 5 curators revolutionizing the Indian art scene and was featured in Harper’s Bazaar’s Hot List of top curators in India. Mukherjee was the co-curator of HUB INDIA, the largest exhibition of Indian art to the West comprising 3 museum shows and the centerpiece for ARTISSIMA, Italy’s pivotal art fair survey. She was on the board of Lumen Prize 2021 and has also exhibited India’s first solo show on Artificial Intelligence (AI) art. In 2022, she curated Techné Disruptors, an unprecedented epistemological art and tech show, featuring tech forward pioneers and digitally native artists in India and the Global South, in New Delhi and later in New York City.
